By invitation of School of Energy Science and Engineering, Prof. Zbigniew Lubosik of Central Mining Institute (GIG) in Poland had an informal discussion with the teachers of teaching and research group of mining engineering in the forenoon of October 26, 2018 in the Conference Room 213 of Energy School. The conference was hosted by Prof. Guo Wenbing, the dean of School of Energy Science and Engineering.
In the conference, Prof. Guo Wenbing firstly introduced the development history, subject characteristics, faculty, and students' training of Henan Polytechnic University and Energy school. After that, Prof. Zbigniew Lubosik detailed introduced the problem and development conditions of the mining safely and clean utilization for coal resource in Poland. The subjects involved coal mining, rock burst, environment engineering, drainage project, radiation hazard, geological pollution, scientific research platform, scientific research team and other aspects.
All the teachers were familiar with the secondary disasters induced from mining and the advanced solution from the discussions in the conference. The new technologies and methods provided a good reference for the mining and utilization of the coal resource in China.
Prof. Zbigniew Lubosik, Deputy Dean of Central Mining Institute (GIG), Poland. He published a paper titled by “Geometrical Description of Gateroad Roof Sag” in 29th International Conference on Ground Control in Mining, in 2010. Then, he published another paper titled by “Research on longwall with caving influence on steel bolt load installed in a gateroad” in IVth International Conference Selected issues concerning ventilation and fires the mines, in 2014. After that, he published his latest paper titled by “The Influence of In-Situ Rock Mass Stress Conditions on Deformation and Load of Gateroad Supports in Hard Coal Mine” in the journal of Procedia Engineering, in 2017.
