Prof.Ranjith PG of Monash University, Australia

By invitation of School of Energy Scienceand Engineering, Prof. Ranjith PG of Monash University in Australia conductedacademic seminar and discussions in the afternoon of April 19, 2018 in theConference Room 213 of Energy School. Prof. Niu Guoqing, Deputy Dean of Schoolof Safety Science and Engineering, Prof. Sun Yuning of School of Energy Scienceand Engineering, etc, almost twenty teachers attend the seminar. The seminar washosted by Prof. Li Dongyin, Deputy Dean of the School of Energy Science andEngineering.

At the seminar, Prof. Li Dongyin firstintroduced the development history, subject characteristics, faculty, andstudents' training of Henan Polytechnic University and Energy school. Prof.Ranjith detailed introduced Monash University, from location, faculty, international rankings, subject setting, experimental instruments, graduateeducation and other aspects.

All the Profs conducted in-depth exchangeson coalbed methane well fracturing technology, shale gas mining technology, deep rock mechanics issues, and publication of papers. At the same time, theydiscussed the joint training of graduate students of both sides and The 2nd International Conference onGeo-mechanics, Geo-energy and Geo-resources (Co-organized by HPU) held bySichuan University communicates.

Prof. Ranjith Introduction: Ph.D., Prof of MonashUniversity, Australia, Research Director of Civil Engineering and Director ofDeep Earth Energy Laboratory, ARC Future Fellow. He graduated from MoratuwaUniversity in Sri Lanka in 1995 and taught at the university. From 1997 to2000, he obtained a doctoral degree from Wollongong University in Australia.
