Xiaoying Lin is an associate professor and mastersupervisor in School of Energy Science and Engineering. He obtained his master degree in 2005 from Henan Polytechnic University and PhD degree from China University of Petroleum-Bijing in 2015. He has worked as a Geological engineer and research scientist since 2002.

Dr.Lin has worked in a wide range of energy geological engineering, such as CBM exploration and development geology, shale gas occurrence geological evaluation, and tight sandstone gas geology. He has extensive experience in field and theoretical researches. Dr.Lin’s current focus is on joint exploration of multi-type unconventional gas in coal-bearing strata. He has supervised and participated more than 30 researches and consulting projects from National Natural Science Foundation, the Postdoctoral Science Foundation of China, Coal Group Companies and Petroleum Group companies etc. and gained 2 Provincial Prize on Science and Technology. He  co-authored 2 books and more than 30 journals and proceedings papers.

Current research interests:

Theoretical and technology research in joint exploration of multi-type unconventional gas in coal-bearing strata.
