Dr. Yi TAN is the primary member of Henan Provincial Key Laboratory on Mineral Resources High-efficiency Mining and Comprehensive Utilization, Henan technology innovation team on coal mining damage and protection. His doctoral thesis was rated as outstanding papers. He joined China Resources Coal Group After he received a master's degree in mining engineering, and he engaged in technical management work here for 3 years. He obtained his PhD degree in 2016 from Henan Polytechnic University (HPU), now he works on ground pressure, surrounding rock control, mining damage and protection in the School of Energy Science and Engineering, HPU.

He has mainly participated 3 items from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and he also presided 1 project from provincial and ministerial level foundation and more than 20 projects from enterprise commissioned. He had published 12 journals and proceedings papers, 7 of which have been recorded by SCI/EI. He also authored 1 book and co-authored 11 national patents.

Current research interests: mainly on surface subsidence, strata movement and ground control.
